Moreover, the organization ensures that the society does not exclude the immigrant families in decision making.

The organization was formed under the 1986 Act and Control Act. Under this act, it became illegal for undocumented employees to be hired. This was based on an argument that it was a way of abusing and exploiting workers.

Amazon Group is another organization which is actively involved in fighting for human rights within the Amazon basin. The indigenous people are in most cases excluded in development projects among other development activities.

The Amazon watch ensures that the rights of indigenous populations are met. Based on its efforts, large scale projects such as gas pipe line and oil pipelines are enacted to ensure progress within the regions of residence of these indigenous people.

The Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund is a project of Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey. The dual are co-founders of Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times. The money directed to the Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund are from the settlement cash which aroused from an arrest by Joe Arpaio. Jim and Michael were arrested by the Maricopa County Sheriff on October 18, 2007.

The two reporters had earlier sued the county-based on the motive of the implementation of amendment rights. They won the case and were given settlement money which they decided to direct towards this endeavor.

The money amounted to $3.75 million. This amount of money is expected to support numerous groups in Arizona which fight for migrant, civil and human rights. Moreover, the funds are supposed to be used in the financing of the groups to ensure free civic participation and freedom of speech.
